Why “Thoughts Out Loud”?

Recently asked if journaling is a habit in which I engage, I shared that journaling for the sake of internal reflection really isn’t helpful for me personally. Later the same day, I was struck with the idea that while journaling to simply “get it out” wasn’t necessarily a tool I utilize, thinking my thoughts out loud in order to inspire or help others know they aren’t alone in their feels is very much a practice of release for my soul.

Thinking that out loud, I fully understand that this is in essence a form of journaling. But, perhaps, for me it is not the act of getting it out that is therapeutic, so much as knowing that using what I walked through to help another walk through a similar set of circumstances without falling flat on their face from the obstacle allows me to release it with the knowledge that the experience was not a waste or trivial moment in time. And, so, Thoughts out Loud was birthed. May these moments and words be a launching pad for laughter, tears, growth, and all the things they were intended for when made a part of my journey through this world and beyond!
